Founded in 2001 by Late V. N. Gopalan in loving memory of his wife, Meenakshi Gopalan, the Meenakshi Charitable Trust is the philanthropic arm of the Valummel Group. Under the stewardship of our current Chairman, Mr. V G Surendranath, the Trust upholds its founding principle that education and welfare are the cornerstones of sustainable community development

Over the past five years, we’ve “adopted” one tribal hamlets—delivering 2,000+ hours of literacy instruction, vocational training for women, and sustainable livelihood programs.

Valummel D.El.Ed Colleges

Dedicated to training primary-school teachers, this college has empowered over 1,000 SC & ST students with certified teaching credentials, placing them in government schools and educational institutions across Kerala and neighboring states
